i heart my job. big time. i feel like i’ve stated this before, but i’m stating it again. i work with some seriously funny people. but when you work a lot and things pile up and you finally clear them out, you need a break. everyone needs a break every now and then. and having four days off, oh my gosh. it’s amazing. i’ve slept like a champ. i’ve watched something on tv that wasn’t sports for the first time in a long time. this always makes my boss go, wow stacie, just, wow. sports? all the time? really? um, yeah. i can get everything else on abc.com, hulu or netflix. HELLOOOOOOOO.
so my holiday kicked off with sisterface and i seeing harry potter and the deathly hallows part 1. oh. my. gosh. there are no words. i typically cannot sit through a 2.5 hour movie without getting up to pee. i held it. the whole time. that’s saying something. i’m going to be sad when it’s all over. i still haven’t accepted that it ended at 7 books and there’s only 1 countdown left (to part 2). this has been a massive part of my childhood. well, massive is an overstatement. i didn’t join my college’s quidditch team.
on thanksgiving, the lovely gator pants said my name. at bath time, i took it on a whim and asked her to say stacie (i had been asking her to say things all day). she took one look at me, smiled and said “tacie.” heart. explosion. she also got a kick out of it when i was reading her book and cookie monster says, “me gonna eat this book” and i fake ate the book. then i said, “me gonna eat abigail” and ate her tummy. her laughs rang through the house.
friday i was lazy and watched movies and went to the gym. saturday i got the mane trimmed, watched college football and actually braved target and the mall! at target, i didn’t even have to wait in a line. i was amazed. tomorrow will be more football and mourning for the end of my 4 day weekend.
alas, adulthood calls. as do the bills.
